About Wendy

Wendy lives in the artistic capital of Montana where she writes science fiction around her kiddo’s schedule, her own MFA coursework, and her day jobs which include editing and bookkeeping. She’s also written in non-fiction and explored writing in other genres like horror, all while drinking a lot of coffee and listening to some very eclectic playlists. 

With the Star Wars series on the movie screens, and Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica, on the TV every week, Wendy grew up in a time of incredible imagination. With themes of real-world situations, cultural ideals, and worldwide challenges impacting every species on our planet, she uses her past influences to adventure into those ‘what if …’ situations and explore how humanity could survive and thrive through current challenges. 

Wendy’s mission is to take you on adventures millions of miles from home while she explores new worlds and strives to survive. Where everything is strange, there are also relatable characters, situations, solutions, and sometimes even happy endings. With adventures into space, futuristic timelines, and technological advances that could help the human species explore alternate solutions to survival, the science fiction twist on these issues will appeal to a variety of readers. Adding in science-supported research, these sci-fi stories with strong female characters will also appeal to women of all ages. 

Wendy's editing services include Developmental and Line Editing with a focus on helping her fellow writer's put their best work into the world. She also provides Ghostwriting and Technical Writing Services, and she is expanding to include a Creative Writing curriculum in 2025.
